RPL was founded in 1989 as a machine shop serving the local agricultural and forestry industries. We now provide high quality CNC milling and conventional machining to a broad range of companies across the country, while a separate facility started in 1995 specialises in drilling and tapping large batches of die-cast and pressed steel products using predominately custom built machines.
Quality Control
RPL has a total commitment to quality. We achieved ISO 9001 certification in 2005 and maintain high levels of quality control from initial quotation through manufacture and production to final delivery. In a 2001 Customer Satisfaction Survey 99% of responses were in the Excellent or Good categories.
Management
The current directors, Chris Birch with experience in Toolmaking and Die-casting, and Kit Moorhouse with a background in the oil industry, took over the company in 2010. Each had previously worked for RPL for over five years.
